Lights On

The kitchen backsplash has been completed! We decided on glass mosaic tile from Daltile in their Urban Camouflage pattern - it has some greens, a grey and an orangy-maroon. The mosaic was separated three rows from the bottom with a 3x6 black gloss ceramic tile. We decided upon black outlets/switches/plates to keep the look uniform.

In other news, we officially have electricity! In the shots below, you can see lights on in each of the rooms - this day sure has been a long time in coming! There are still some final lights to be installed and breakers to be connected but it is 90% there.

The laundry room got a little love today too as the new washer/dryer was hooked up and moved into place. Some white cabinets also joined the space. Now, we just have to pick out a countertop.

Lights on in the living room
The light I was most excited about, our foyer pendant - large Nelson Cigar lamp
Base cabinets in place in the laundry room next to the washer/dryer stack
Wall sconces in the 2nd floor bath - we did settle on changing out the sink to the above counter style - the scale is so much better
