Chicago, Here We Come!

Ok, so we decided to make one final push and drive up to Chicago and back yesterday. It was quite the adventure - since the day started out with me getting sick from some bad sushi the night before. However, we decided to perservere because if we didn't go now, we would be hard pressed to find a better time to make the trip.

Everyone knows, I love a good shopping trip to Chicago. And, it's rare that I spend less than 2 hours at an Ikea when given the opportunity. This trip was a rare exception. That sushi stayed with me all day long but we still managed to hit the Crate & Barrel outlet (checking for rugs-no dice) and both Ikeas before starting the long trip home around 4:30 pm.

What was so necessary you ask? Here are some of the last minute items we couldn't do without:

Correct over fridge cabinet (the original one we got was too short)

Lack shelving unit for the built-in version in the master bathroom (would have cost over $300 just to ship! Ikea shipping is the worst!)
Fado downlight for the kitchen pantry/mudroom

Table lamp for Erin (she bought one the last time and decided she needed another)
