Windows, Plan B
The two large picture windows in the living room went in today and they look fabulous. In early September, we had momentary panic when we found out that Certainteed (our window manufacturer) only made 60"x60" slider windows, not 60"x72" as Clark had designed into the plan. We didn't want to reduce the size of the windows, not even by a foot. So, on our drive to Chicago for our anniversary weekend/Ikea shopping spree, we discussed our options and determined that adding a 12" transome to the top of the 60"x60" window would do the trick. We couldn't have been more right! The transome sets off each of the windows in a way that just having a regular slider would never have done. The look will be continued with a transome above the patio door.
