Rainy Day Projects

Rain today, all-day, non-stop rain. Our builder worked in the office on various requoting and ordering that needed to be done, so all was not lost. Clark worked on possible solutions for the stair rails, since our original horizontal rails will not be approved by Crestwood's code. Nevermind they meet code on a national level, Crestwood has it's own set of codes and theirs trump the national ones.

So, we're exploring the idea of either doing regular vertical spindles or possibly using some time of fill pieces - i.e. mesh or glass. I'm voting for glass if we can swing it. Below are a few renderings of what I'm talking about.

We also had a great find last weekend of a company that stocks some really cool tiles. We visited their warehouse and came away with a potential solution for the master bath. A rendering of what that might look like follows the steps.
