Horizontal Happiness

The staircase railings were installed today on the stairs and the catwalk. We are really excited! For anyone that has been following the drama of the railings - yes, we did get our original pick: horizontal rails! The fabricators were able to work with the county and ensure that we'll pass inspection.

The top portion is yet to be added. The spot where you actually grab the railing will be topped with a wood cap - made from the same wood as the doors and mantle.
