Stone Cold...and Warm

Today we drove out to Moscow Mills, MO to the Centurion Stone showroom to select the stonework for both the exterior walls and the interior foyer and fireplace. We decided upon a cutface style, which means it is a rough textured with a dry stacked installation. For the colors, we are able to do a mix, so we are going with "Pennsylvania," which is grey tones with hints of burgundy, and "Brown," which is varing shades of brown.

As luck would have it, there was a McMansion on steriods (seriously, it had a 15 ft diameter turret)being built just off of highway 61 (on the way to and from the showroom) that also liked the Pennsylvania/Brown mix cutface. So we were able to drive there and bring our homemade paint board along for the ride. We've preliminarily selected the following color scheme:The Polished Mahogany would be on the bottom siding, the Colonial Revival Stone on the upper siding and the Downing Sand on the trim around the windows and eaves.
